CHELSEA SABO - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Chelsea is the Executive Director and founder of the Foster Care Alliance. After growing up in Atlanta, and fostering in Atlanta, Chelsea became passionate about more than just helping children in need: she had a desire to help the whole family. As a single mom herself, it has become her mission to help other moms overcome life’s challenges in order to keep their families together.

DENISA MILLETTE - CLINICAL DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH AND PROGRAMS

Denisa’s calling is to serve children, adolescents, and adults who deal with a variety of emotional and behavioral imbalances due to psychological trauma or other stressors. She works with clients toward restoration of their emotional wellness by integrating aspects of trauma-focused cognitive, behavioral, and dialectical behavior therapies, as well as play therapy and other interventions suited to their particular needs. By creating unique, individual treatment plans tailored to her clients' needs, Denisa addresses multiple ongoing issues such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, low self-esteem, and symptoms of PTSD. In addition, Denisa enjoys working with busy parents, providing them with tools and coping skills on how to successfully parent children and teenagers with a variety of psychological issues, while bringing more balance into their own lives, making them feel empowered and in control.

AUTUMN LEE-CASS - DIRECTOR OF CLIENT ENGAGEMENT, GROUPS FACILITATOR, PARENT AIDE

Autumn implements all social and educational support to clients. She is a native of Dayton, Ohio and alumna of Wilberforce University, where she developed her passion for social justice, supporting higher education and community activism. She has worked and volunteered in both the education and nonprofit sectors for over a decade as an educator and fundraiser. Her work in these fields have highly influenced her desire to serve her community by working to preserve families and inform marginalized communities of services and resources available to them.

 

Carter Day - coordinator of donor engagement and special events

Carter manages special events as well as volunteer and donor relations. Carter grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, but has been in the Atlanta community for over a year. Carter received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education at Clemson University. Carter’s experience as a teacher and champion of advocacy has informed her work and intensified her fervor in creating meaningful and long-lasting impact with the communities that Foster Care Alliance serves
